From a one-person information technology freelance practice established in 2015, Opensource Digital Services Limited has grown into a duly incorporated Nigerian technology company delivering software, ICT infrastructure, digital payments, business automation, data-management solutions and technology support for organisations across multiple sectors.
Opensource Digital Services Limited provides technology services that help organisations automate processes, manage information, improve service delivery and build dependable digital channels for customers, staff and stakeholders.
Our work spans software development, database-driven applications, enterprise workflow systems, payment integrations, ICT infrastructure, servers and networks, website development, digital commerce, reporting systems, technical support and technology consulting.
We approach every engagement with a strong emphasis on reliability, information security, maintainability, operational clarity and measurable business value.
Originated as an independent information technology freelance practice in May 2015 and subsequently developed into a formally incorporated company registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission of Nigeria.
To design, implement and support secure, scalable and practical digital systems that simplify operations, improve accountability, strengthen service delivery and create measurable value for organisations and their customers.
To become a trusted African technology and digital-services company recognised for reliable systems, responsible innovation, strong engineering discipline and solutions that continue to deliver value long after implementation.
Our growth has been shaped by hands-on technology delivery, enterprise data-management assignments and long-term support for organisations that depend on reliable information systems.
The business began as a one-person information technology freelance practice providing practical ICT services, business automation, database solutions and technology support. Early project work created the foundation for a broader professional technology-services operation.
The practice expanded into enterprise-level data-processing, pension-management and human-resource information assignments, including large historical datasets associated with the liquidation process of Nigerian Telecommunications Plc (NITEL).
The growing technology practice was formally incorporated as Opensource Digital Services Limited with the Corporate Affairs Commission of Nigeria, providing a stronger institutional platform for software development, ICT services, consultancy, digital commerce, payments and enterprise technology projects.
Today, we continue to expand our capabilities in enterprise software, digital payments, web platforms, servers and networking, business automation, data systems, e-commerce, education technology and technology support for organisations of different sizes.
Our historical project experience includes software and data-management assignments involving large staff, retiree and pensioner datasets, as well as infrastructure and ICT development projects.
Design, production and maintenance of the former NITEL Mortgage Management System used to manage mortgage-related records for more than 18,000 staff and retirees.
Design and maintenance of a centralised Pension Fund Administrator management application used to generate staff contributory-pension emolument information in relation to their registered PFAs.
Design, production and generation of pension-emolument benefit records for more than 22,000 pensioners as part of the human-resource data capture required for the Pension Transitional Arrangement Directorate (PTAD).
The NITEL-related assignments above were undertaken during the official liquidation of Nigerian Telecommunications Plc (NITEL). The contractual engagement was between the appointed liquidating firm and Opensource Digital Services Limited; the work formed part of the technology and data-processing support required during that liquidation process.
